London 2012 Olympics
The summer of 2012 will see London become the centre-piece of the world as athletes from across the globe flock to the city to compete in the Games of the XXX Olympiad. With 204 nations expected to compete in the spectacle, it promises to be an event that will captivate the entire planet.
As no stranger to hosting major international events, London has all that is needed to make the 2012 Olympics the best yet. In fact no other city in the world has hosted the Olympics 3 times as London will be, so the city's pedigree in organising and hosting such a huge international event is there for all to see. London has the infrastructure needed to host the games with magnificent stadiums and a sophisticated transportation system. The cosmopolitan city has been catering to visitors from all corners of the globe for generations and all guests will know that they are in one of the world's greatest cities, and that city is more than happy to welcome them as guests. For some events that will be hosted outside of London, visitors will still find stadia and facilities that would complement any other city on the planet.
Around 10,000 athletes will compete in 300 events covering 26 sports making a veritable feast of sports for fans both there in person and watching from home. With the world's finest athletes in attendance, Olympic world records set by history's finest will come tumbling in front of millions of viewers worldwide. With some of the most famous venues on the planet accommodating up to 90,000 people anybody attending can expect a great atmosphere and a great day out for all. For those that can't make it, cameras from across the world will be broadcasting all major events so nobody will have to miss out on the action.

Away from the actual sporting events, visitors to the historic capital will find themselves immersed in a culture quite unlike any other. Grand buildings and famous displays are located throughout the city and many visitors find that they simply do not have enough time to see all there is to be seen.
